Open May 30th, 2008 to September 15th, 2008 At Griffin Lake Lodge we believe the food that we offer must be of the highest quality. We use fresh ingredients and all breads and pasties are freshly baked on site each day. For those of you with special dietary needs such as allergies or vegetarianism, we will do our best to accommodate you but please let us know at the time of booking. For Breakfast Each morning breakfast is served between 7:45 and 9:00 a.m. We offer 2 choices for breakfast each morning: typically one hot, hearty, home cooked meal and one that is more appealing to guests who wish a lighter meal. These choices change on a daily basis. All breakfasts include juice and coffee or tea. Some examples of hot breakfast choices would be meals such as Eggs The lighter breakfast choices typically include combinations of several of the following: cold cereal, hot cereal, fruit, yogurt, bagels, English muffins, toast, freshly baked cinnamon buns, scones and muffins etc. Bagged Lunches For those wishing to take lunch with them on their daily excursions, or to stop for a picnic on their day of travel we offer bagged lunches. The lunch includes choice of sandwich (selected from our menu) made on large home baked Kaiser Buns, a beverage and a goodie. We ask that lunch orders be placed the prior evening. The cost is $9.00. Dinner Each evening between the hours of 6:00pm and 7:30pm our kitchen is open to take orders and prepare meals for guests. The concept is very casual and the menu is limited and would best be described as pub style food. Guests place their orders at a counter at the entrance to the kitchen, we prepare the meals while you relax and have a beverage and enjoy the unique atmosphere of our dining room. Once prepared, we will then call you to pick up your meals at the counter. All food is freshly prepared at time of order. Click here to view our menu. Should you prefer to have a full service dinner we would be happy to make recommendations for restaurants in the area. Benedict or Florentine, French Toast, a variety of omelets and frittatas, pancakes or waffles with fruit and maple syrup, as well as bacon, ham or sausages and eggs. Home baked breads and pan fried potatoes accompany most hot breakfast choices.
