Revelstoke Dam
The Revelstoke Dam is located just a few minutes north of the town site of Revelstoke British Columbia. The dam is a major Revelstoke attraction that attracts a great deal of tourism to the region.
The Revelstoke dam is one of North America’s largest hydro electric facilities and is currently in the midst of a large expansion. The dam is the second largest hydro generating plants in British Columbia.
The Revelstoke Dam has a newly renovated visitor center that allows tourists to view numerous displays relating to hydro electric development in BC as well as the construction of the dam itself. Admission to the visitor center is free and is open to the public from June 1st to to September 30th. There are self guided tours and the facility is fully wheelchair accessible.
