Salmon Spawning at Griffin Lake Mountain Lodge Bed and BreakfastThere are several types of salmon spawning in the Eagle River in the front yard of Griffin Lake Mountain Lodge Accommodation near Revelstoke BC Canada. Pacific salmon that spawn in the rivers and lakes. Griffin Lake, 27 kilometers west of Revelstoke and 45 kilometer east of Sicamous, flows into the fast flowing Eagle River right on the grounds of our lodging facility. Guests can sit on benches that are set up directly in front of the salmon spawning beds of the pristine river.

The spawning season varies by specie, year, weather, water temperature and many other variables but for the most part begins in late August and goes through until November. During that period we can view Chinook, Sockeye and Coho salmon. Our the bed and breakfast is located about a 1 minute walk from the spawning beds. Additionally, there are many spots down river (The Eagle River) where salmon can be found completing their incredible life cycle – returning from the sea to spawn where they were born.
