The Goods and Services Tax (GST - 7%): The bad news is that this tax applies to all purchases including rooms, meals and merchandise purchased anywhere in Canada, including Griffin Lake Mountain Lodge.

British Columbia Room Tax (8%): The good news is that this tax applies only to the room portion of your stay. The bad news is, all accommodation providers throughout B.C. that have four or more rooms, including Griffin Lake Lodge, must charge this tax. This tax is non-refundable to everyone including the King or Queen.

As of July 1st, 2010

As of July 1st, 2010 the GST and Provincial Sales Taxes will be combined into one tax to be known as the HST (12% - Harmonized Sales Tax). Doesn't it sound wonderful.  This tax will apply to pretty much everything including rooms and meals. We hope you're as excited as we are - not!
